The history of the company dates back to 1910. The foundation of Blount Small Ship Adventures was laid in 1910 with Blount & Sons Oyster Company. The ship owned by Blount & Sons Oyster Company was damaged due to the great hurricane in 1938, and after this incident, the company had to terminate its service. By 1949, Blount Marine company was established. The activities of the company were initiated by visiting young engineer Luther Blount to Rhodes Island. In 1950, a boat was designed by young engineer Luther Blount. This designed boat has been patented. Construction of the patented boat has also been completed. The most famous ship, Miss Liberty, built in the shipyard in 1952, was on the scene.

Blount Small Ship Adventures Company

Miss Liberty was built in 1952 as a 160 feet longboat with a capacity of 600 passengers. This boat took about 60 million passengers from Manhattan and carried it to the Statue of Liberty. This boat has the feature of being the most passenger boat among all boats up to that time. By 1962, the company managed to produce more than 100 boats. The popularity of the company increased in 1966. In 1970, engineer Luther Bount managed to patent many ideas. In 1975, Le Bateau was a remarkable cruise boat serving as a cruise boat operating in America. This bot managed to take its special place in the history of Blount Small Ship Adventures.
