Over time, this name changed to Dikili. There is a natural lake in Merdivenli village in the district. Historical caves are located in Demirtaş and Deliktaş villages. Çandarlı is valued as an important tourism area. Since Dikili's history dates back to very old times, it is possible to come across historical buildings in the region. Pitane is important as an ancient settlement. Artifacts extracted from the Pitane ancient settlement are exhibited in the Bergama Archeology Museum. Dikili is 120 kilometers away from the center. The surface area of ​​the district is approximately 534 square kilometers.

The port in the district is an important building. It contributes to the district in many ways. The fact that the economy of the district is based on agriculture and tourism increases the importance of the port. It is easy for tourists to reach the region by sea.
