Monarch, one of the largest cruise ships in the world at the time of its completion, was built in 1990, has 73.941 gross tons, and has a capacity of 2.744 passengers. While the ship beached to be dismantled in Aliağa, on the ship named Sovereign, which was the sister ship of Monarch, Aliağa is waiting to land ashore. The ship, which belongs to Pullmantur Cruises, has a capacity of 2600 passengers and is 74,000 gross tons.
